Before International Gastro Institute; all four consultants were had either their own private set up or working in corporate hospitals. Since there was always lacking of state of art Gastroenterology centre where all kind of disease can be diagnosed under one roof and with most advanced endoscopy centre with ultramodern full HD endoscopes with small bowel scopy and edoscopic ultrasound machine (EUS) with which early diagnosis of GI cancer can be done with scope passed through normal orifice without cut on abdomen , gave new hope to diagnosis with much more ease in city of Vadodara without need of going out of Vadodara which was their when the facilities was not available .

It’s first of it kind of set up in central Gujarat, where endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), Double ballon enteroscopy, capsule endoscopy and advanced ERCP for pancreatobiliary pathology and complex gastroenterology diagnostic and therapeutic cases are being done.

There is dedicated liver ICU with dialysis facilities for cirrhosis of liver diseases with GI bleeding and complications, like ascites, deep jaundice, hepatic encephalopathy.

At IGI ISHA hospital we do have a most advanced 4K laparoscopic Operation theatres for Normal as well as complex GI and Hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgeries In IGI liver transplant related consultations and pre and post liver transplant guidance and care is available along with visiting liver transplant consultants. At IGI all procedures are done with pre sterilized endoscopes, under conscious sedation and with CO2 gas insufflation for better patient care with safety and comfort. There is special 12 bed ward with central lines where day to day patients are kept for pre and post procedure day care under direct supervision of consultants.

At IGI, there is special clinics for Liver, pancreatic diseases, for IBS and For IBD patients as well there is Peadiatric gastroenterology department. ln IGI we do have special scopes with FiSe and NBI functions to diagnosed GI cancers in its early stages. We are the first centre to offer advanced endoscopic procedures like POEM for achalasia cardia, ESD, EMR and endoscopic bariatric surgeries like ESG and endoscopic baloon placement. We are the first to start therapeutic EUS procedures in city.
